It was a fluke. It was a mistake. It was ... meant to be, perhaps.
Welcome to my page! My name is Becky and I'm a EX serial Solopreneur. This means I've launched multiple businesses. None of them with success ... until now. I've been on this journey for almost 7 years now. It's a rollercoaster. Everything they say about Entrepreneurship is true. It's ups and downs. You have to dig deep. You have to learn. Learn about the world. Learn skills. Learn about YOU. Learn how you can truly help people in this world to get what they want in life. You have to walk your own path into entrepreneurship. Sometimes that path can be a journey.
Until this month (June 2025), I would have never considered myself an Entrepreneur. I definitely liked to mask myself as a "business owner", but didn't understand what that meant.
Here's why ....
I wasn't in the game to play the game. I wasn't willing to do the work. I wanted the shortcuts. I wanted someone else to figure it out for me and then I reaped the reward. Maybe I didn't truly understand what work needed to be done until now.
Let's go back to 2018 for a second. I was working in the Events and Entertainment Industry for over 20 years. I began my career in the industry during my college years. I traveled all over the country with events. I hung out backstage with rock stars. I walked into Triple H's leg during a WWE event. I traveled on a tour bus with Trailer Park Boys. Yes, it seemed like a cool gig, but I was completely burned out from the work.
I finally called it quits. Literally - walked into my boss's office one day and said "I quit." I was immediately thrown into an "oh sh*t" moment and had to figure out what came next. I was fortunate to stay on with the company as a freelancer through a busy summer with outdoor events. We had opened a new amphitheater in Denver, and they needed me to stay on for the summer. I quickly established my own event production business, with a focus on sustainability. I was doing alright. Then ...then 2020. I'm sure you can guess what happened at that time.
I launched my 2nd business, a sustainable consulting company, then ...
I launched my 3rd business - a nonprofit for Women in Sustainability. It was fun. There's a lot I can say about it. I loved the people I worked with and the community we built during a crazy time in global history. Unfortunately, nonprofit life isn't the life for me. We'll leave it there. I left that role in 2024.
My 4th business, which was actually a new iteration of my 2nd business, was formed. I was doing waste education and sustainability consulting. I love talking trash y'all. Like, I want people to think about their waste the way I think about my waste. Every. Single. Day. Well, not many people do. I loved the work, but something still wasn't right. I didn't want to put all my energy into it. I was being pulled and called in another direction.
The Internet was calling my name, but I didn't know it ... yet.
I underwent a great deal of soul-searching. Journaling. Listening to the Universe. Asking myself, "Who Am I?" This is tough work. I believe this is the REAL work of an Entrepreneur. It wasn't an immediate answer for me. However, what I learned along the way is that when you know who YOU are, you open up a world of letting others in. THAT's what makes a good Entrepreneur.
During this time, I kept going back to my marketing roots. Over all these businesses, everything was rooted in marketing and community. That's my true love. From my high school days in DECA, through my marketing degree in college, and my involvement in marketing for nearly every role in my career, this calling kept coming to me.
I spent the past 3 years obsessed ... and truly obsessed, with learning digital marketing. I love tech. I love marketing. I love people. I wanted to give something back to this world. As you get older, you begin to ask yourself, "Why am I here?" and "What am I supposed to contribute to this lifetime?"
For me, it's about helping people like me. Solopreneurs. While we do this business alone, we're not alone. There is a large community out there. A community of amazing people, doing amazing work.
I want to help solopreneurs avoid getting stuck in refresh mode. I want to help them share their passion with the world by getting their voices out to the masses through marketing outlets that work for them. I want to show them they can be themselves AND market their business. I want to make sales feel easy so they can earn a lot of money. I'm incredibly passionate that when good* people have money, we can see this world change for the better.
To market your business, you don't need techy tools or dance on video. A vast digital world is available for anyone who wants to share their expertise and passion within it. I'm here to help them build their ARC (Awareness → Relationship → Conversion) to success and grow their business with a Pick-Your-Path to Profit strategy that works specifically for their goals, content style, and skill set ...with only the tech they need to get it done. Oh, and of course, create a community of incredible people who share their souls with the world.
Welcome to my fifth business venture. I plan to stay here for a long, long while. That's my promise to you on this day, June 20, 2025. I'm here for the long haul. I'm here to support, laugh, cry, love on and celebrate many others on their Solopreneur journey.
I hope you'll follow along and build your ARC with me as we go!
Hugs and High Fives -
Becky
